Experience as a prosecutor or other litigation experience is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The Prosecutor’s Office offers excellent benefits and retirement packages.

Opening in Doddridge County

The Doddridge County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office seeks a person for the position of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Duties of this position may include any of the following: the prosecution in Court of misdemeanor, felony, abuse and neglect and juvenile proceedings on behalf of the State of West Virginia, as well as handling civil matters involving the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Experience in misdemeanor, felony, abuse and neglect, juvenile and civil cases is required. 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Language skills required are the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex legal documents. Excellent computer skills, including the ability to conduct computer assisted legal research, are required.

This full-time position offers a benefits package and is salaried commensurate with experience.

The Webster County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is sseeking an Assistant Prosecutor.
Must be a Licensed Attorney in the State of West Virginia that is in good standing with the State Bar.
Prefer candidates with criminal and/or civil trial experience. However, anyone recently admitted to the WV State Bar is encouraged to apply.
